Travel Diaries | Part 1 Paris
dRA is based in Los Angeles but we take inspiration from around the world. In the first part of our Travel Diaries, we go to Paris. As complete Francophiles, we can never get enough of the city. From the food to the fashion it holds a place in our hearts.
Our Guide to Paris
The Cafes:
For the best hot chocolate go to Angelina Cafe at the Galeries Lafayette. Eat beautiful pastries with a quaint backdrop and enjoy the quintessentially Parisian fare.
For a luxury experience get a massage and then dinner at the hotel Le Meurice. The elegant Spa Valmont is world class and not to be missed.
Cafe de Flore is one of the oldest coffeehouses in Paris, we love going here to people watch and take in the classic city views.
Les Deux Magots sits in a charming district and is a hub for artists and old souls. Go here to enjoy the ballet and the city lights.
The Shops:
When in Paris, there are a few stores we never fail to visit because they're beautiful, inspiring and we almost always find great buys!
Make your shopping experience an unforgettable one at the Galeries Lafayette. Visit the wide range of designer labels and end the day at the rooftop terrace where they serves food and drinks.
From top of the line bags to designer fragrances, you'll find that shopping at the Colette is a must-do when in the city.
Merci is a sight you won't want to miss; take pictures in the lovely courtyard, grab a bite at the cafe, then shop for clothing, gifts, and even furniture!
New Loves:
Every time we visit Paris we find something new to love. A few of our new finds are
Soeur, a romantic and whimsical Parisian brand, L'eclaireur Sevigne, a contemporary boutique that reads as an art gallery, Mes Demoiselles, a flowy and sensual line, Sessun, a fashion line with a traveling aesthetic, and Claudie Pierlot, a sleek and modern line.
